Problem with O2 taffifs?

My current phone is a Blackberry Curve with the tarrif 'Blackberry(R), 500 texts and web'. I'm changing my phone tomorrow to a Samsung Galaxy S 3. I have just made an O2 account and changed my tarrif to '1000 texts, 150 minutes and 500mg web'. I was just wondering that if i top up tomorrow, would my new phone continue with the old tarrif or start with the new one? I'm keeping the same sim card. The reason i was asking is because i just checked my phone details after i changed the tarrif and it has not come up with my new tarriff. I don't want to top up tomorrow and have to keep with my old tarriff for a month. Thanks for your help.

It normally takes up to 24 hours before your details are fully updated
