Issue with Android 4.4.2 and Sony Z1 Compact

I upgraded the firmware last night, and noticed the following issues:

Alarm clock will not play any chimes when the phone is locked. (was nearly late for work)

All audio only plays via the ear speaker, and not main one at the bottom of the phone.

Has anyone had any other issues.....

Have you done a factory reset it's normally recommended after a major update make sure to back up first
