Hi Nick.

Is this the first time it has happened.

If the phone is frozen it is taking a lot of power to maintain that image, resulting in the phone becoming warm / hot.

Remove the battery and try restarting the phone, also check if the software or any apps need updating.

Let me know how you get on and we can go from there.

Same thing happened to me after an update yesterday. I went into recovery mode, deleted cache, which didn't seem to help. The tried recovery mode and did a factory reset, at least my phone is working again, just need to reinstall everything again.
Saying that, my phone just reset itself again.
I'll keep you posted if it stays "fixed"

Well, phone just died again. I'm thinking of reflashing the proper cpw rom, as my phone was originally a cpw one.

I won't miss the splash screen. slight_smile
