Galaxy Ace - Text message contacts showing email addresses?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

Can anyone help me get this problem fixed? Whenever I want to send a text message, the contacts I am presented with include emails and facebook accounts, and yet these do not show up in my address book.

How do I remove the emails and FB accounts from my text message options? Many of them share the same name as the phone number and it makes sending messages very hard when I don't know whether I'm sending it to a phone number or an email address

Thanks,

Hi,

Im assuming youve gone into your facebook settings in your phone settings and synced all contacts.

Contacts
Menu
Display Options
Facebook
Display All contacts [Uncheck]

or

Directions:
1) Open the Facebook app
2) Open Settings
3) Click 'Sync Contacts'
4) Change to 'Remove Facebook Data'
5) Click 'Ok'
6) From the Home screen, go into the Phone settings
7) Click 'Accounts & Sync'
😎 Click on the Facebook account
9) Click 'Remove account'
10) Reboot phone
11) Open the Facebook app and set it up again
12) Set up the Sync as before
