Extending ring time Oppo A5

My wife has an Oppo A5 which only rings for a short time before ringing off. Also, the ring time does not appear to be consistent. Sometimes it's longer than others.

I have tried dialling the codes to change the ring time but the phone is not accepting them. When I try to do this I get an error message ...

Call forwarding
connection problem or

invalid MMI code.(0)

Any Ideas?

@Booler

App and web guide here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/How-to-Lengthen-Ringtime-on-any-O2-Mobile/ba-p/1175217

You can do it in your MyO2

Under the MyO2 drop down

  • Under the Your Sim heading select Bar and divert
  • Under the heading Manage your devices and services select Divert calls
  • Scroll down and you have a comprehensive Call Diverts menu to Edit (bottom left)

Thank you , but I tried the above on my wife's phone. It had no effect. I also did it on my own phone and it has actually decreased the ring time to abolut 12 seconds. ☹️

Can't fix O2's deficiencies. Only advise on the process, sorry.

OK, this works on Samsung phones using MMI codes.

Turn off WiFi

Turn off mobile data

Set network type to 2G only or 2G/3G

Execute the MMI codes.

You are basically turning your phone back to an old 2G phone of the type available when these codes were introduced.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
