Resolved! Switching providers - do I need to do anything?

I just swapped to EE and want to keep my phone number so added the PAC number. EE are sending the new Sim shortly. Do I need to do anything to cancel my contract with O2 or does it automatically end when the phone number swaps over to EE?

my phone changed over to o2 on 12 June then I went on holiday on 13 June and couldn't get roaming on holiday for 2 weeks so had no access to internet the whole time. what should i have done to make sure roaming worked before I went!
