Please could someone explain as to why I’m being charged for voicemails while traveling, I haven’t even listened to them nor have I used my o2 SIM card whilst I have been out of the EU. These charges are ridiculous. To make matters worse, I can’t even turn my voicemail off to stop further charges, nor can I contact customer support as calling would cost a further fortune and lo and behold, you no longer have email support…

You can call customer service using Skype for free: Guide: A Guide to Skype 
Call +44800 902 0217 or +44800 032 1402.
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.
You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Just to add to @Bambino's advice above, if abroad and a pay monthly customer you can call O2 for free.

Ask them to turn VM off on your account.
