Will friends & family discount carry over if I change from sim only?

Hi guys, as per the title Im currently on a sim only plan, and receive the O2 friends and family discount on this. I bought my own unlocked handset years ago, and have been using the O2 sim on a sim only plan (and receiving the F&F discount) since.

I now want to upgrade to a Note 9 from O2, and am wondering if my F&F discount will carry over? I understand the discount only applies to the 'Airtime plan' part of the contract here- I just want to know if the F&F discount carries over automatically?

If it doesnt then Ill likely just buy myself a new, unlocked handset again!

Unfortunately not.
It will have to be applied for again by the employee friend or family member.

If it's an upgrade I think it will carry over.

Maybe someone will clarify for definite though?

The friend who got this no longer works there either. 😞

Yes I should have checked T's and C's... I made a presumption that because it was an upgrade it would carry over. Oh well ...as they say, every day is a school day wink

Shop assistants qualify so you could always try and talk one into giving you one of their codes if they have any spare wink

@Cleoriff

Thanks to you guys for your help!

This is the deal I was looking at incidentally, the F&F discount would have halfed the airtime portion of the plan, meaning Id have payed about £41 per month (if Ive understood correctly!)...

It's 50% of the airtime before vat so would have taken off approx £12.00
