I have a plain payg sim for a smartphone. I don't use it for calls or texts but might want occasional access to 3g.
I am trying to understand the charge. It says "£3/MB up to max £1/day"
OK, if I connect it immediately deducts £1. On the face of it that means my £1 gives me 0.3MB. Is that correct?
What does it mean by "max". A data limit or just remaining credit?
Also, once I have made a connection, does it remain true payg or does unused credit get lost after so many days?

Yes I have seen that and, oddly, is a page about monthly charges. There is another sheet about "payg big bundles" where I got the "£3/MB up to max £1/day" from. I am looking for an interpretation.
I just found another message http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/What-is-quot-O2-Web-Daily-quot/td-p/164249 which makes it even more confusing. So if there is unlimited daily allowance for £1, what is £3/MB?

"You will be charged at a rate of £3 per MB until you have spent £1 on data usage. At this point, further usage of data for that day will be free subject to a fair usage of 50MB for the day"
Doesn't make sense.

Well, I took a risk and tried using some data. After the original £1 taken off credit did not go down. So that question probably answered. Just hope now that connecting doesn't mean that unused credit disappears after so many days.
