Call/text/data records & VAT receipts on PAYG

Anonymous
Not applicable

Apparently I have to pay £10 (not sure if that includes VAT as the person on 'chat' avoided the question I asked three times) to obtain a record of (a) itemised calls/data/texts and (b) VAT receipt for these. It took an age to get the person to understand that I need itemisation and a VAT receipt to claim expenses from my employer as the information supplied online is woefully inadequate.

I was told that there is no way to view this information online for PAYG customers. However, it is possible for pay monthly customers. Can't see how one is impossible but the other isn't. Perhaps someone could explain as I don't really see why I should pay for the privilege of getting a VAT receipt for the payments I've made.

The only way to get the information is to fill in the online form if you are on P&G.

How can I get a copy of the information O2 store on me?

You can write to us at any time to obtain details of the personal information we may hold about you. You can do this in one of 2 ways:

Yeah, that's the kiddie that will cost me a tenner, thanks for the confirmation.

Seems a bit rich that PAYG customers have to go down this route. I got massively stung for roaming charges when I had to do some work while on holiday. My employer is happy to cover the cost but wants an itemised VAT receipt, which is not unreasonable.

Here's hoping they'll pay the £10 too...

One of the few disadvantages of being a P&G customer unfortunately. I believe records for P&G are available on some networks but O2 deem fit not to follow that option for their customers.

Surely the point of PAYG is to keep costs down so adding itemised bills to the eqaution will only increase costs.

As a one off admin charge I think £10 is reasonable
