hi my old payg sim has been made inactive, i keep this phone as spare for camping how do i go about getting it reactivated or getting back the credit that i have on it

Credit is usually applied 24 hours after successfully réactivation.

@Saduser Depending on how long it's been since you last used it will determine if the number can be reactivated. Normally you have to make a chargeable call or text every 6 months and top up every 999 days. If it hasn't been used for a long time the number might have been reassigned. Only way to find out is to speak to customer service.
