Changing sim from pay monthly to pay as you go

How do I go about keeping my original number? I want to change my sim to pay but keep same number.  How do I go about it?

You need to pay off any device plan that is outstanding and any early termination fees, that may apply. 

Then give o2 customer services a shout and they should be able to sort this for you

Thanks for the info, I am at the end of my contract which is sim only.  I am currently with o2.  So will probably just give them a call.  It should be easy to arrange.
