Has anyone else been told that after 9 years of loyalty to O2 they are no longer eligible for the early 3 months upgrade for loyal customers?
This is very fustrating as I don't want to more supplier but no one is telling me when this stopped or why I am no longer eligible!

I don't think removing the 3 month early updade was a deliverate shift away from loyalty and rewards, but a neccessary change due to Refresh contracts - as you are still paying off the device until your 24th month.
Would be nice if O2 offered to pay the last 3 months of my device plan though.

when I've been with them for over 9 years and spent PLENTY over and above the monthly phone fee it's very disappointing that they have no more acknoledgement of it.
Thanks so much for your replies though. At least I know where I stand with O2 now.

Loyalty went with the introduction of O2's fairness to all policy. The only way to get a loyalty bonus is by going through retentions and asking to leave.

This is true but I did manage a discount on a sim only tariff and I know others have been successful this way. In my world, you don't ask you don't get!

Super, really appreciate that!

If you put aside what you would have spent on a new phone, you can buy one sim free and stay on sim only forever.
