I recieved my 4G dongle (Huawei, USB only, no wifi) yesterday.  All working great except... The PC it's connected to crashes frequently since I started using it.  It tends to happen when I try to do something that consumes a fair bit of data, e.g. press play on youtube, running a connection speed test, etc.

has anyone encountered this?  Any ideas on a way to improve it? Is it worth me hunting down firmware for the device?

Oh, I meant to reply to this - it turns out one of my USB ports is a bit broken so crashes PC when things are connected to it.  That's all it was!

I'd try uninstalling the device and software first.

Run ccleaner and take out any redundant registry entries and reboot.
Check for dongle software updates etc.
Are you win 7, 8 10?
