I have recently purchased a Huwaui Unlocked 4G dongle and put my mobile broadband SIM from my HSPA+ dongle in it, expecting to get a faster 4G speed, but it is slower, much slower, than expected.
The HSPA+ dongle delivers just over 4 Mbits but the 4G dongle (with the same SIM) is only 1mbit. Is HSPA+ faster than 4G? I thought 4G was supposed to be faster?
Any ideas anyone?

@Anonymous
In theory it should be but if 4g is oversubscribed in the area you are in, 3g could well be faster.

I live near my o2 mast. Although I am in a old building of a house not a modern building. So certain rooms have better reception.
