Who remembers when "heatwave" used to be called summer?

In Spain and just had a massive downpour...lasted all of 15mins. Sun out again....Bouncy

I believe @Anonymous was referring to the UK summer, which is normally two days of sunshine and a thunderstorm, which is what's about to occur. Comparing Spain's summer to the UK's is like comparing chalk and cheese.

People dont describe a spate of hot weather here as summer anymore, its always heatwave.

 

I just find it really annoying.....maybe the heat is going to my head!!  Shirty
