Hey everyone,
As we have some very talented photographers on the forums I thought I'd share some info about World Photography Day. World Photography Day is a day intended to inspire amateur and professional photographers alike to share images that depict the world from their view point.
"The date behind World Photo Day originates from the invention of the Daguerreotype, a photographic processes developed by Joseph Nicèphore Nièpce and Louis Daguerre in 1837. On January 9, 1839, The French Academy of Sciences announced the daguerreotype process. A few months later, on August 19, 1839, the French government purchased the patent and announced the invention as a gift "Free to the World"."
You can get some more information about World Photography Day here. It would be great if you could share some of your own snaps, whether a stunning vista or a funny holiday photobomb we would love to see your best shots!

Some great shots @Daddydoink! I really like the long empty tunnel. It's kinda eerie seeing it so empty.

Well, in the spirit of photography day on the evening before, (maybe +1day) I managed to take this beauty as the moon was setting.
And on the day this picture was taken, my 4k camera arrived for my Phantom, meaning that Fridays trip was on..
Waking up to the fantastic day ruining downpour of British rain, within an hour, three blokes were trolling through the weather forecasts trying to get a clue of when to leave on our trip.
We knew the sun was coming, but where we were going was 2hrs away and prediction had to be exact.. At 12:30 we got on the road.
It was crap, really crap, weather was terrible all the way there,
With such terrible weather, we questioned our forecasting skills so entertained ourselves by telling my lad he had to hide from Welsh border control because he had no passport.
To our delight, he took the bait.
As we got closer to our destination, the rain stopped, but still showed signs of starting again, especially since the clouds were pretty low
We arrived, and no sooner had we picked out our gear, the weather cleared and the sun came out.
