Clive James 80 passed away yesterday
He always put a smile on my face
Remember seeing him on tv dancing the jive with Darcey Bussell at the 100 Club, London
His easy humour, very self-effacing
An Anglophile
He will be sadly missed
R.I.P. Clive

We lost a lot of famous, and not so famous, faces this week, @Anonymous.
Clive James was a favourite, his wry letters and stories usually provoked a thought if not a smile.
Indeed @pgn
David Baily, the famous photographer, passed away very recently. May he rest in peace.
There is a Sunday half hour programme on BBC Radio 4 ... 8:30pm to 9:00pm called, from memory, The Last Word ... it is an interesting, if sad, report of 4 or say 5 people recently departed.

My mum always used the David Bailey ism when we took ages taking photos..
Who do you think you are, David Bailey?
And now I use
I’m not David Bailey you know??
Re: Radio 4 programme I mentioned above
It isn't just a straight 30 minute programme narrated by a broadcaster ... it includes the recently departed say interviews and people known to them speaking too
