Eddie Jordan, the flamboyant former Formula 1 team owner and television pundit, has died aged 76.

The Irishman, who had aggressive prostate cancer, died in the early hours of Thursday morning.

A statement from his family said: "It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eddie Jordan OBE, the ex-Formula 1 team owner, TV pundit and entrepreneur.

"He passed away peacefully with family by his side in Cape Town in the early hours of 20 March 2025."

RIP Mr Jordan

I could tolerate him when running the Jordan team...quite the man at the time

I lost a lot of respect for him and his antics in later life and some of his comments I found outrageous when commentating

Still, he did a lot for F! in his time

I agree with that comment. Amazingly built a team with limited money and had wins with Schumacher and Damon Hill.

However when he began his punditry, he set out to shock with his comments.

Never missed a chance to have a go at Hamilton. Even after he'd won 4 WDC.

Made himself look a bit daft when he won 3 more. 😂

Anyway, he did a lot for F1 and his death will be a loss to the sport.
