Not strictly a Christmas song but I'm not sure why Imagine by John Lennon isn't there

or A Spaceman Came travelling by Chris De Burgh

Both would have been in my top 5

I'm not really a Christmas or New Year person in all honesty, just find it really upsetting now

But, in the spirit of Christmases past here goes

  1. Fairy Tale of New York
  2. Mary's Boy Child
  3. Happy Christmas (War is Over)
  4. When A Child Is Born
  5. Merry Christmas Everyone

Carols

  1. Silent Night
  2. Hark The Herald Angels Sing
  3. Once in Royal David's City
  4. Oh Come All Ye Faithful
  5. While Shepherds Watched

Thanks @jonsie for taking part.

There were quite a few songs I had to leave out, inc some which were Xmas No 1 but tried to give a good selection to choose from and the lists are based on posts on community and in online polls rather than just my preferences.
