Hello @Mi-Amigo

I couldn't watch these but I will put the scariest sounding ones in that order

No. 1   Silence of the Lambs  ( I know this actor and he scares me even when he plays a nice character!)

No. 2   Texas Chain Saw Massacre (can't bear the sound of that)

No. 3   Psycho (I do remember seeing this on TV  ) The sounds in that were worse than the action

No. 4   Carrie (only saw trailer, horrible)

No. 5   The Birds ( I saw a bit of this but as I love birds, I thought it was crass)

2. IT

3. The Omen

4. The Amityville Horror

5. Misery (not scary but wow great film)

The Fly is actually a remake of the 1958 B-movie classic "The Fly"

1. Alien

2. Night of the Living dead

3. Psycho

4. Hellraiser

5. The Fly (1958 original with the classic ending!)

Prefer the older 60's horror films as they didn't rely on hack and slash and had more shock value.

Great topic to start our Halloweek with @Mi-Amigo!

When I think about horror movies I usually say that I’m not a big fan of the genre, but looking at this list I realised I really enjoy quite a few of them.

Guess that I used to say that because I grew up in the ‘90s and ‘00s and honestly, there aren’t many great horror movies from that era.

But since then I started watching the older ones, and there are quite a few gems there.

Without further ado, my top 5 out of this list are:

1 - Alien

2 - Halloween

3 - Jaws

4 - Psycho

5 - The Silence Of The Lambs

Have to say I’m a bit of a Hitchcock and John Carpenter fan btw jack_o_lantern
