Question about call to change password from a scammer and creating an account after attempted scam

Someone called me today saying they're from O2 and that they're sending a new sim as my current one would be blocked in about two days. I just needed to read a code from O2 so they could send it, which I stupidly did. They then hung up. Thing is I created the account just now after reading about how scammers call random numbers and ask you to say the code so they can change your password. Because I didn't actually have an account, would the code I gave them about 10 hours ago be invalid? I suspected I didn't have an account because I received no emails when I tried changing the password myself, and didn't know if I was automatically given one or not when moving my number from a Virgin sim to O2. Worst thing is the code I received to create this account was in the same message thread as the scammer "sent me". I'm mad af.

And O2 always sends two texts, about 30secs apart, the first one says...

The second on with PIN also warns you, as just abovre. Warnings are there for a reason!

Good luck.
