Morning,  I was in an O2 shop recently and was talking about making a payment to reduce monthly expenditure.  Assistant told me the app shouldn't allow me to do that but on checking again I am given a choice of either reducing monthly payments or reducing payment period.  So Dave, if the system allows it can I do it?

I believe that you can make a lump-sum payment to either reduce your monthly payments or to reduce your payment period, but if you want a discussion about this, you need to contact payment management. You will appreciate that this is a customer to customer community so we cannot access your account or give you bespoke financial guidance.

You can reach the Payment Management team on 0800 902 0217 or you can message O2 on social media :-

You can pay extra to reduce your monthly device plan payments but the total device plan duration will remain the same unless you pay the plan off completely.

You'll need to call customer services to make additional  payments - legacy MyO2 did not accept an overpayment. New 360 MyO2 may be different... Why not try?
