O2 won't price match their own offer

So tired of O2, they are offering an iPhone 5c 16gb for £28 a month with unlimited calls and texts and 1000mb on a site called e2save mobiles yet as an exhausting customer due an upgrade they won't match this deal. The best they'll offer me is same deal at £33 a month which is £70 more a year!! I've been with them for 4 years and I'd be better off cancelling and opening a new account. Grrrrr needed to rant tired of customer loyalty meaning nothing to companies.

Yes we have had other posts saying the independents give better deals.

In the end it makes sense to go where the better deals are.

Sometimes O2 retentions do match deals too.

You don't need to cancel and lose your number.

Upgrade instead.

Get a screen grab of that deal and perhaps ring back and ask to speak to retentions. Show them the deal.

Have you checked out Carphone Warehouse.

Info about e2save. They are not owned by O2.

"Because e2save is a trading division of The Carphone Warehouse limited, this means we have an amazing choice of handsets and tariffs across all major networks."

I understand your need to vent. We all do at times. wink

Thanks I'll call the retention team, like you said it is the hassle of changing numbers just so infuriating I can find that deal on at least 3 independent sites, I just don't understand why they won't offer it to customers, but thanks for advice 🙂

The independents can sometimes offer sweeter deals as they have their own margins.

Online only sites don't have the overheads of a shop and retails wages to pay.

Take into account only O2 can offer the Refresh Tariff where you can upgrade early.

With the independents your usually locked in for 2years.
