Netherlands / EU usage

Not applicable

This has probably been asked before but am heading to Amsterdam shortly. I use a Sony experia E3 on pay as you go, and don't want to get hit by any high roaming charges whilst abroad.

Apart from turning all the devices off and just using my phone as a phone, is there anything else i need to do ?

TIA

Bob

Get O2 Travel and use Tugo over wifi.
Keep mobile data off and just use free wifi where you can.

Edit as I mysteriously thought you could use Tugo on PAYG, but you can't 😞

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Be especially careful if you are going by ferry. They have their own network and rates are crippling. As said, switch off mobile data and voicemail.

To add to the above.

I'd also think about getting a local sim whilst you're out there. They'll have deals like in the UK where you'll get some cheap payg data.
