I'm 87 years old  and have a sim only monthly plan. My monthly payment has jumped from £6:49 to £8:29. Is this correct?

Yes, your price rise of £1.80 on top of whatever you pay O2 for your contract currently will happen every 12 months, and appear on your April bill, @John88
