I have been unable to connect to O2 mobile phone where I live in Brighton for about a week. I need the connection for my work. Two days ago I went to the O2 shop who said they only knew about the disruption when O2 customers came in to complain. O2 engineers had not notified them but they assured me that it would be fixed that day.Today I had a conversation by internet with the O2 "guru" Lucy who said I must be patient as it would take weeks to fix and that it would be solved quicker with my cooperation!! Onbelievable.

They applied for a mast in that area (which might not be near you) in April 2011, refused:
Three Vodafone and three O2 antennas, still not in use.
How do you think they should do now?
No doubt they will keep trying until somebody sees sense.

Brighton / Kemptown reception is still rubbish. Calls keep dropping out and voice box overworked.
O2's response is rubbish. .. "there is no problem" !
They have admitted the issues to a friend of mine and provided her with an EE SIM card which O2 are paying for. Why would they do that if "there is no problem"?
I'm off to to shop today and town ask them if its OK for my direct debit to drop out ....

Never heard of O2 paying for another network sim. At the best they would let you end your contract without penalty but paying for an EE sim card??
