Hi Everyone,
I’m happy to communicate our trial beta service called hashblue (#blue) where your contacts & text messages are stored. You can also search for a text message, mark a text message as favourite, have group conversations and even send a text message from the website itself which has a friendly display with a nice conversational flow.
In addition to that, you can also engage with other community members and suggest our software developers to create #blue apps that do fun things with your message stream. See example: (https://hashblue.com/apps)
If you’re interested about this, you can simply register at https://hashblue.com/ with an O2 mobile number and an email address. I think that this service has got good potential which can be used in many ways and could be helpful to deliver things which we ideally want you to define and help us with.
I look forward to hear your comments and feedback on this thread.
Thanks
Abs

Same as Adam, iphone user so it may be handy if I ever need to look for an old text but not really something I interact with.

Thanks Brendan & Adam for your comments.
I think it's more than just a text messaging storage service. We're looking for creative ideas which can be really useful for our customers to engage with. We want to incorporate other services with the existing one.
All thoughts are welcome slight_smile
Cheers

The only extra service for me would be a contacts back up. I do do it on gmail anyway but a failsafe is always welcome. Not sure if that is possible with iPhones though as bluebook never supported it. We did manage to get round that with an app, but native support would be better.

I've been using #blue since the first invitations went out. I find it suits all my sms needs and hopefully the new apps will make it even better.
All of my contacts are synced anyway with my phone and Pc via Nokia PC and with google but most of your text contacts can be saved via the contacts tab.
Impressed and hoping for bigger things in the future from #blue.
My only real complaint is that it seems to take an age for the development of new apps, it was to be expected in the early concept stages but I think it's time to floor the accelerator.

Came in useful this morning when I had to send a quick SMS and my phone was elsewhere on charge. It is a lot easier than doing it via the O2 Website.

It's not that hard to send an SMS from the O2 website!
Step 1. Go to o2.co.uk
Step 2. Click 'send a free text message'
Step 3. Login
Step 4. Enter number and message
Step 5. Click send
Not exactly rocket science!

No, its not rocket science I have used it many times- but #blue is still quicker the way I have things set up.

Could we get an app linking to the signal and service issues site? It's a regularly given answer on here and if we point them that way more may start to use #blue.
