That should say ‘are 02 charging me 54p just to add an emoji to an MMS message.....

It's 54p + VAT so actually 60p now I believe.

Most people uses WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage etc so there is no revenue generated from MMS anymore, hence the rip off charges.

Lesson learned - MMS no deactivated. it has been impossible to speak to 02 about this too, so also now looking for an alternative provider!!! Appreciate i are your help

All providers charge for mms and its down to the handset how it works with mms some dont convert, some do.

EE - 65p from 1st Aug
Voda 55p
Three - 55p

So all the major networks are around the same cost....

A pointless service these days anyway.
May as well shut it down as can't be economical to run anymore.

Im shocked as it used to be included at one point, and id never pay some one 65p for something i can send by email or whatsapp (other messengers are available lol).
