Hi, I've an iphone 6 that was originally on O2, but has had a GiffGaff SIM in it for a while. I want to give it to my Dad, who is on TalkTalk. It's locked.
I contacted O2 cust service, but, on providing the IMEI, they said they've no record of it on O2; it's locked to GiffGaff instead. How do I contact GiffGaff to get it unlocked?
I was surprised to find out that GiffGaff lock their phones.
Can anyone help me to get it unlocked? Thanks...

Hi @stu531
Follow the info here Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card
giffgaff use the O2 network.
Have you tried another sim in it. It may not be locked.

If it was originally locked to O2 then it still is. You will need to get an O2 P&G sim and use it to make a few calls. Then follow the P&G instructions here:
Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card
Giffgaff won't be able to unlock the phone at all.
NB if you know someone on O2 you can borrow their sim card for an hour to make some calls. They could then unlock it for you via My O2.
