Problems syncing emails between iPad and iPhone

Anonymous
Not applicable
I got a newer iPad recently. With my previous iPad, my emails were synced automatically between my iPhone and iPad inasmuch as if I deleted emails from my iPhone, they would be deleted from my iPad. Now it seems that that doesn't happen and I'm now having to delete the same stuff twice. Also, my email account in my iPad is now full of emails that are months old that I deleted from my iPhone ages ago.

I'm having the same issues with my Notes app, notes that I have put in my iPad are not automatically syncing to my iPhone. Is there something I need to be doing in the settings?

Both my iPhone and iPad are registered to my Apple ID.

Thanks in advance 🙂

If your email account is a POP account, actions taken on your devices don't sync back to the email server (that's not a feature of POP accounts).

To dowhat you want you'll have to use either an IMAP or Exchange account, which do sync with the server.

With these accounts changes made on one device will be seen on your other devices.

Examples of IMAP accounts are Apple's iCloud (@me.com) email and gmail.

Thanks, much appreciated 🙂

The account in question is an @btinternet.com address. Would this be a POP account?
