Iphone5 headphone volume keeps increasing on its own

When the headphones are plugged in the volume keeps going up to the high level on its own. Does anybody know how to fix this issue ???

sounds like the headphones are faulty. can you try the headphones in another iPhone, Ipad etc to see if it does the same thing?

Thanks I tried a reset and everything it didn't work. Went to local store got a new pair of headphones and the issue as gone now.

The were the ones that i received with my iphone5 i am going to fill a form out and send them back to apple and get a replacement pair to keep as a spare.

as the iPhone 5 hasnt been out long you should be able to get them replaced FOC.

but glad it was the headphone and not a hardware fault with the phone

Looks like i am going to have to call apple and get a replaceent iphone5 the volume keeps turning its self up and on 3 pairs of headphones, I have also noticed in the diagnostics that there is a load of panic plist entries.
