Gmail Not working After Upgrading to iOS 6.1 Version on iPhone 4s

Hi, I have just upgraded to iOS latest 6 version and my inbuilt gmail application is not working. It states

"Cannot Get Mail

The user name of password for "imap.gmail.com" is incorrect.

I have tried deleting the gmail account from settings and configure it again. Restarting the iPhone.

Not sure what is the issue here.

Appreciate anyone help here.

Hi All,

After searching more, i have foun d the solution. I had to goto gmail on my laptop and then to settings after logging in. In the settings, there is a option to generate password for a device. A iPhone was listed as approved device. I clicked revoke and then generated a new password for new device. That password worked very well on my iPhone and it is great. Thanks for reading this.
