htc one switched off by itself, flashing led whilst on charge

Hi,

My HTC one switched off by itself whilst I was at work last night and I can't turn it back on, the led light flashes when it's on charge trying to connect. I've tried holding the power and volume button nothing works. I contacted o2 this morning, I had the tech guru saying I could get a replacement and the insurance team tell me it had to go for repair, even though it's insured and stills under warranty. What do you guys suggest?

Warranty is the first port of call as it's not yet eligible for an insurance claim.
If the warranty team say it is water damage or damaged beyond repair it then becomes an insurance job.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If you have home contents and or Bank Account Mobile Phone cover and you meet their T&C they will replace the phone . Excess fees typically apply.

I would try the manufacturers uk support site first.

The Op says it's still under warranty so I imagine they would action that before anything else?

I imagine they indeed would.

Hoping for a reasonable outcome / update from the OP.
