Samsung S3.

I have a Samsung s3 for nearly 2 years and I'm having a lot of problems, it freezes, in the right hand corner next to the battery display it comes up with a sign like this🚫, I can't use it, it turns its self off and then takes ages to turn on and then the battery can show that it's empty, I am on my second battery, I hope someone can help, I don't actually want to leave O2 as they have been great, I paid my phone off but still have the contract with my calls etc.

Sounds like you're in need of a factory reset, but you will need to back up all your data first that you want to save.

There is a quick guide to backing up and resetting on this thread, but, it also tells you how to flash firmware if the reset doesn't work

Why do you think you would want to leave O2 because your phone has a fault?

It's been happening for a while now and I'm having to keep it plugged in for it to work.
I need a phone that works for personal reasons.

No one wants to have a phone that doesn't work. The S3 is a few generations old now (first introduced in May 2012). Maybe it's time for you to get a new phone?

My S3 was a brilliant phone...When I upgraded after 2 years to  a Note 3...I gave the S3 to my son. He reckons it's the best phone he ever had....:smileywink:

They all fail eventually. A newer phone will have more features. The S5 is also now a generation behind, so you might be able to find one for a good price.
