My phone has spontaneously shut off atleast 4 times in the past 4 months. It can be when I'm scrolling through an app, mid-text or today whilst I was out on a walk and it was in my back pocket. When i try and turn it on, it will have the start screen then not respond. It takes atleast 3-4 tries before it will turn back on again. I've tried to ring, but wondered if anyone had any ideas on what to do? as I'm not sure this wont need to be sent off for repairs?
I wont lie, the initial start of the issue was about 6months ago, when my phone slipped off the side of a sink into a small stream of water. I did catch it so it didnt land in the water, but a small amount was running over my hand when I caught it. Anyway I did the rice trick, left it over night and all seemed fine, until about a month after when it clicked off and took 4 tries to turn on again. I wondered if it linked to the tik-tok app as that was on when it happened, but its done it since when I'm not using it.

Any moisture inside will, over time) have a lasting effect on the phone causing corrosion
I would contact Samsung support rather than deal with it through O2
O2 will send it off and once they see the moisture markers will quote you for a repair
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair/
If you want to call O2 however

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:
When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.
Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

Thank you, I rang Samsung and they were really helpful.
Sent it off for repair as it happened again (after a factory reset), so fingers crossed!
