Good Evening,
You can pick up a blank sim card from your local o2 high street store and carry out the swap my sim procedure.
Its worth a try.
Ensure your on the newest available software for your phone.
Their are two types of reset for your mobile phone.
Soft reset and hard reset.
With a hard reset make sure you do a back up as this can delete your saved data and contacts etc.
Soft Reset.
1.Long press on the POWER Key.
2. When you see a menu appear, select Restart.
3. Then tap on Restart again.
If the device is not responding, do a very long press on the POWER key a about 10 seconds until the phone is switched off.
OR
1. Pull out the battery.
2. Wait for 30 seconds and the put back the battery.
Hard Reset.

If you feel the need to send in your phone then I would suggest asking samsung to look at it first and ask o2 repairs as a last resort.

Good Morning Denboy and Welcome to the forum,
Their has been a few threads recently regarding this issue in the past few weeks.
Try deleting the persons entry in your contacts list and try again if the issue returns.
Ensure that the person your sending the message to has not accidently blocked you in their phones settings, although if the y are sending Ok now it could have just been a glitch which has resolved itself.
Please do speak to o2 Customer Services to ensure your account is set ok.
Contract : 202.
