O2 cant send me my unlatching code

Hi,

I'm leaving O2 at the end of the month as my 2 year contract is finishing, I requested the phone to be unlocked as im moving provider, but i got an email saying they cant because:

"As per our findings, the handset was not bought from O2 directly due to
which we are unable to find the details in our database."

It was purchased from buymobilephones.net. So how do i unlock the phone?

O2 have said to send them my mobile number (which they already know!) plus the purchase order number.

I have the original receipt with a order ref, but thats going to be useless.

What do i do?

I'm assuming you have made several chargeable calls on the phone recently with your O2 SIM card in it ?

This is to latch the phones imei number to your O2 account.

If not then use the phone and re submit the unlocking request form.

Another option is to get a Payg sim. Put £20 on it. Make some chargeable calls leaving £15 on the sim and fill out the unlock form again.

Which phone do you have.
Some standalone phone shops unlock phones for a fee but beware of the pitfalls of them forcing the unlock.

I'm currently using the phone and have made several calls recently.

I have a HTC One X.

I didnt submit a ulocking request form, but someone over the phone said they would arrange it. Perhaps I should use the form instead?

I bought my sgs2 from the same place and O2 gave me the unlock without any issues.
