Hi all I'm new here,

I just wanted to know what the 4g speeds are like, and what the battery life is like with 4g? As I have the nexus 5 sim free unlocked but have not got the 4g tariff yet so still using 3g+ speeds!

I don't have a nexus (Xperia SP) but battery life is fine - easily get a day of heavy use out of it and mostly my 4G speeds are averaging around 20mbps.

OK thanks, I have the Nexus 5 for about a week now and battery life is decent enough for me on 3g, HSDPA speeds and wanted to know how it would be on 4g, my friends S4 on 4G lasted very well as I know 4g is a battery drainer and has sppeds of about 28mps average. So for now my battery life has been about a day and a bit on moderate to heavy use with brightness either halfway or less. Do you think I would be able to get at least a day with moderate to heavy use by upgrading to 4G?

Yeah, I don't see why not.... The best I've got so far is about 38 hours and the worse 18 hours continuous battery and it doesn't seem any different when in a 4G area compared to a 3G area....

I know someone who has one but he's not on 4G. I'm sure there must be someone on here but if not let us know how you find it....
I wouldn't worry myself, my Samsung doesn't suffer on 4G either so I think it was all a bit of scaremongering about massive battery drain....
