My texts are not being received by one person

Anonymous
Not applicable

As of Friday, my texts are no longer being received by my firend. I can receive her's no problem at all and other people can receive mine without issue.

We have both tried turining our phones off/on and checked that my number is not accidentally blocked.

I would like to get this sorted out asap. Thanks

Hi and welcome.

One avenue is just to visit an O2 store and have your sim swapped out, just in case.

Also removing and re entering the contact can sometimes help too.

Sometimes this is a glitch and resolves itself.

It's always worth checking your postcode here http://status.o2.co.uk although if other texts are working fine I don't see it being a mast/congestion issue.

Speak to O2 uk Cs on 202 contract or 4445 Payg just to rule out anything on your account.

If the number is definatly not blocked then a new sim is most probably required

Thanks BoB.

We both tried the deleting contacts too, but no joy. A new sim seems like a good idea although every message does say 'Sent' but for Delivery report it says 'Requested'.

They do give delivery reports if you put a simple code before the text body.

Put *0# at the start of each SMS message.

Too messy IMO.
