Charged for a text that never sent and failed

Hi there I just got charged 70 odd Pence on PAYG for a small text like 7 lines and On top of that it failed to send. Why have I been charged for it still if it didn’t send??

@PAYG-charges O2's systems are not running as they should. If it didn't send it was obviously a glitch. If you put an emoji in the text it would be considered an MMS, hence the charge. You can try to call customer service to dispute it, but that's not easy at the moment.
